I took this photo in mid December and thought it would be right for a very young 2014. In a small park, behind the main traffic on Danforth Avenue in Toronto, are three murals by children that I love seeing whenever I walk by. Here's one and a section of another. Good health and love… Continue reading Children’s Mural

Interiors–The Light Photo
On the 17th, I looked up from writing and saw the light shining on the bulletin board in my room as I've never seen it. I got my camera and took a few photos. This one reminds me of a shrine or altar. So, for all of us on the longest night of the year… Continue reading Interiors–The Light Photo
Interiors–Broken Bowl Photo
This broken bowl, a common object, caught my attention with its beauty. I was drawn to the reflections on the side of the ceramic, as well as the bowl's shapes. I used a black and white setting to emphasize these.
Night of Peace
Continuing with the theme of night near the winter solstice, Night of Peace is a small felt wall hanging I made in 2011. It's made of synthetic felt that I hand stitched with cotton embroidery thread. You can see more details in my etsy shop.

Mail Art Received from Winged Heart
I was happy to receive mail art from Winged Heart in response to some I had sent him. Thank you for your delightful piece.

Felt Wall Hanging–Mask
I made this wall hanging in 2003 from synthetic felt. I sewed it entirely by hand. The design of the appliqué arose from my love of masks.
Witness Linocut
Here's the third abstract linocut I made in 2006. It's another small one--5" x 7." I made the design from the shapes of fibres on a piece of wool felt I had made. I printed the image right side up and upside down on itself. When I looked at it, I saw a mask like… Continue reading Witness Linocut
Abstract Linocut
This is another one of the abstract linocuts I made in 2006. I again printed the block upside down on itself which gives the print its symmetry.
