Interior–The Beauty in the Broken

I'm enjoying the interior photographs I've been taking of scenes and objects around my apartment. Things that I might overlook because I've grown accustomed to them and no longer actually see them are now grabbing my attention.   For the past few years, I've been drawn to the beauty in broken pieces of ceramics and… Continue reading Interior–The Beauty in the Broken

Toronto in the Cold

It's quite cold in Toronto now.  Yesterday, on a bright morning, I took these photographs.  I was drawn to the drama of the steam and/or smoke rising from the chimneys.

In the Mirror

I'm enjoying photographing these interior scenes. I was drawn to the contrast of light and dark in this image and the shifting, somewhat fragmented view of the room in the mirror.

I like the image because it's one of those that makes you wonder… Continue reading Spiral Staircase at the Gallery

Interiors–Screen and Shadows

Here's another photograph--one I took a few days ago.  I loved the light through the screen, casting shadows of the plant and curtain. You can see a sliver of the plant through the space between the screen panels.

In a small park, behind the main traffic on Danforth Avenue in Toronto, are three murals by children that I love seeing whenever I walk by. Here's one and a section of another. Good health and love… Continue reading Children’s Mural
