Interiors–Broken Bowl Photo
This broken bowl, a common object, caught my attention with its beauty. I was drawn to the reflections on the side of the ceramic, as well as the bowl's shapes. I used a black and white setting to emphasize these.
Night of Peace
Continuing with the theme of night near the winter solstice, Night of Peace is a small felt wall hanging I made in 2011. It's made of synthetic felt that I hand stitched with cotton embroidery thread. You can see more details in my etsy shop.

Seeds of Peace Wall Hanging
I made this cotton wall hanging in 2002. It's 8 1/2" x 11." I deliberately left the edges raw to experiment with texture and sewed the piece by machine. Mola appliqués, a type of vibrant multi-layered work, were part of my inspiration for Seeds of Peace.
