It's the Winter Solstice with the longest night of the year and, after that, the gradual return of light. In celebration, here's 2 linocuts I made as part of the Mirrors of the Heart card deck. Good health, peaceful nights and returning daylight to you.
I wish you good health as COVID-19 travels around the world. I and my husband are well at the time I'm writing here in Toronto, Canada. My walks in my neighbourhood help my spirit as I look for signs of spring in the gardens and on the trees. And I do a little drawing many… Continue reading Good Health
Years ago in 1991, someone I knew told me an arresting dream they'd had. I don't totally remember it, but it was about terrible suffering and catastrophe. Most of the people in the dream were in trance like states with one or two raising the alarm. The dream impressed me as apocalyptic and I made… Continue reading Dystopia and a Key
This week my auspicious card deck, Mirrors of the Heart, has returned from the printer. It's on thicker card stock with matte lamination. This time it's black and white like the original linos. And, I've added a back to each card--a linocut of two birds. I've put the deck up in my etsy shop.

And because of that, I’m offering up some hearts from the card deck I made in 1994. Mirrors of the Heart grew out of my interest at that time in tarot cards. I thought… Continue reading Mirrors of the Heart Card Deck
