This is another folded booklet I’ve made in the past month or two from an old linocut. It was an image of a mythological mother nature becoming a tree and was another subtraction print. That is, I made it from one block that I progressively cut away and printed.
Unfolding the Origami Booklet
Here, I tore, folded and sewed it into an origami folded booklet. The folds and parts of the image that showed on each page surprised me–one of the most enjoyable parts of the process.
I have made art works all my life. Arts of May shows some of my explorations in different media and the inspiration I take from other artists and works. An earlier blog, of humans and nature, concentrates on my photographs of natural places that help my spirit.
