At the Student Climate Strike in Toronto

Today I went to the student climate strike in downtown Toronto to show my support for the students and for all those seeking meaningful climate action now. So this is not one of my usual art posts. But, then, none of us creates art in a vacuum.

It was a grey drizzly day in Toronto but the rain held off and the temperature was merely chilly and not too cold. I was both very heartened and saddened at the gathering, thinking about the lives of people so much younger than me. One of the signs someone was holding said “you will die of old age, we will die of climate change.”
